John J. McPartland

John J. McPartland, 83, of Donora, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026. Born in Donora on July 11, 1942, John was the son of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Butler) McPartland.

John was an avid pool player at the Russian Club, enjoyed playing euchre and poker and bowling with the Catholic Church League and at the Croatian Club. John loved his yearly vacations with his family, especially to the Bahamas and to Central America and his numerous cruises. John was an avid cooker and would cook for many special occasions for the family whom he loved the most and will miss him dearly.

Surviving to cherish John’s memory; his beloved wife of 60 years this January, Florence (nee Micenko) McPartland, his daughters Dawn (Lloyd) Coven, Kimberly (John) Peroni, and Tonya (Jeffery) Abbadini. His grandchildren Tabitha and Ian Coven, Kali (Hans) Glass and Nickolas Peroni, Téa (Colby) Thompson, Alycia and Kalista Abbadini. John’s great-grandchildren Adaline Tobias, Eden, Eleni, Luca and Ari Glas, and Trace Thompson. His brothers Charles McPartland and Timothy (Eve) McPartland and his sisters Teresa McPartland and Roberta McPartland and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his in-laws John and Helen Micenko.

Friends and family will be received from 6:00 to 8:00p.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00a.m. inside the funeral home on Friday, February 27, 2026. Interment will follow the funeral service at Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
