John “Jack” White, 79, of Donora, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026 at his home. Born on January 25, 1947, in Charleroi, Pennsylvania, Jack was the beloved son of the late Florence Ditta White Abraham and Jack White, and the stepson of Michael Abraham.
Jack dedicated many years of his working life to Corning Glass, retiring at the age of 55, an accomplishment he was especially proud of. He enjoyed playing cards and pool and was known for telling a good joke from time to time. He especially loved sitting on his front porch, drinking coffee, and spending time with family, friends, and neighbors.
Jack enjoyed watching football, especially cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Theresa White. He leaves behind his daughter, Tracy (John), and two granddaughters, Ana and Ava, of New Mexico, as well as his son, Eric, of Arizona. He is also survived by many favorite nieces and nephews and, of course, his dog Homer, who will be living with Tracy. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Molly and Maggie from AHN Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
Friends will be received from Noon to 2 PM on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at the Hogan-Melenyzer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home at 2 p.m. on Saturday, followed by interment at Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
