Ruth Adele Corrin

Ruth Adele Corrin, 97, of Charleroi, passed away peacefully on February 18th, 2026 with her family by her side. Born in Charleroi on June 5th, 1928, Ruth was the daughter of the late Theodore and Edith (Keys) Breuer.

Methodist by faith; Mrs. Corrin was a teacher at Charleroi Area High School for over 30 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Charleroi Athena Club, the Charleroi Golden Agers, volunteered for the Special Olympics and was a participant of the Senior Olympics. Ruth was an avid skier and skied into her late 80’s with her “over the hill gang”. She loved to travel and enjoyed needle work. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed by many.

Surviving to cherish Ruth’s memory; her daughter Adele (Erik) Selinger and her son Brian (Dana) Corrin. Her grandchildren; Ian (Amanda) Selinger and Jacob Corrin and her great-grandchildren Audrey and Lyla Selinger.

In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Harry Corrin and her brother Ernest Breuer.

Friends and family will be received from 2:00 to 4:00p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00p.m. on Friday, February 20th, 2026 at HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 21st, 2026 at 10:00am inside the funeral home. Interment will follow the funeral service at Monongahela Cemetery.
